How do you get rid of "Internet Explorer Script Error" message? Brown box with error has o

Every time I go to a new page a small brown box appears with the above message. It has the yellow triangle with exclamation point and then the follwoing:

URL: file//C:\Documents and Settings(more is usually added onto this)

This comes up every single time and i am sick of it. I have run everything imaginable...spybot, hijack this, defrag, adaware, notorn virus scan.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS? Would be eternally grateful!

Use Mozilla Firefox instead. I gave up on Microsoft's Explorer, myself: too vulnerable to virus and suchlike.

go to tools, then to internet options, then to manage add-ons. go through and disable any that should not be there. some active x controls and bho's will interfere. Start there.
