Why do I get an "Internet Explorer Script Error" pop up whenever a Yahoo service runs?

I have installed Yahoo Messanger 8, beta mail and yahoo tool bar. Now whenever a Yahoo service completes I get a pop up indicating "Internect Explorer Script Error", Line 2, character 7, error: "Invalid Character", code 0, URL: http://messenger.yahoo.com/external/clie... I have reinstalled the above mentioned Yahoo services and still get the error. What do I need to do to get rid of this error?

Stop using internet explorer. Use Mozilla Firefox; it's easier, faster, and error free. Seriously, it is so much better, and I am sure you won't have this problem with Firefox.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced and Disable Script Debugging (Other)
I'm with Kyle on this one...Firefox is a much better browser. If you keep having trouble like that, you should consider switching.

Agree with Karl: IE6 has reporting bugs in Yahoo for the last two three weeks, preventing good browsing.

Changed to IE7 with no better result. Disabling script debugging is one way, but, as a programmer myself, it only means that there are bugs in Yahoo scripts!... and I do not like that: they have plenty of people to be able to correct the small mistakes they have made.

Similar bugs are lurking in Yahoo mail.(ie: 1 item left to upload that lasts forever...)

If Yahoo can't program without bugs, then they are not worth using, and it is time to change server. Sad again. They should not sit on the laurels of their previous successes.

So, I use Firefox with yahoo, and IE7 for every other site, for the time.

Sad, in my opinion.
