Internet Explorer Download Error, please help.?

Everytime I download a .exe or .zip or any kind of file from the internet a popup box comes up saying " C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows... Internet Files\Content.IE5\(Some Numbers)\(File Name)\"

Then it says that the directory name is invalid. Can someone please help me fix this problem once and for all?

Try saving to a different directory other than the one listed above?

The directory is where you save the file to(so that probably means that the place you're trying to save the files to doesnt exist), so when you get the popup for your download, select save, and then in the new window, select a place to save the file to from the drop-down box near the top (next to where it says save in) and select desktop or my documents to easily find your file

Make another folder on the drive you want to save your downloads to such as C:/Downloads/saved, then assign ie to save them to that folder

Start Regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\

Microsoft\

Internet Explorer

Change the value of the string Download Directory to the new path you want to assign as IE's Default Download directory
