Is there a diagnostic tool to find out why Internet Explorer crashes?

Everytime I close Internet Explorer, an error report comes up saying that it encountered a problem and needs to close. This happens whether I am starting with a website or blank page. It doesn't matter how little or long I stay in Internet Explorer.

Possibly related, when I get email from Outlook Express, and there is a link to click in the body, it doesn't come up.

I scan my computer for viruses daily and keep up with updates.

Here's a repair tool:

Seriously, though, you've recently installed some software that is conflicting with your copy of IE. If you knowingly installed some software recently, try uninstalling that software.

If you haven't knowingly installed software recently, try visiting http://www.windowsupdate.com and see if you have the latest updates. That may fix your problem.

Don't bother ie is CR@P. Use another browser such as firefox, available to download free. Much more reliable
you have a trojan horse virus that is cloking itself when you start your pc and you antivirus software is not going to pick it up, the email is where you got infected, goto you antivirus software company web site and see if the provide remote scanning and bookmark that page, restart in safe mode with network support then goto the web site and scan your computer this may find the virus and provide the steps needed to remove it.
