If this just started two weeks ago, it's because of a critical update MS released on Aug 8th. They're working on a corrected patch; in the meantime, go to Tools %26gt; Internet Options %26gt; Advanced and uncheck the box for "Use HTML 1.1".

Sounds like an issue with a plugin. Disable most of the third party ones and that might help
Clean out your history, cookies and temp internet files.

It is probably a cookie trying to reroute IE to a different web page
