for example, i will get to the first page of the site with no problem, then when trying to click on links in the site it will either not do anything at all while saying 'error on page' or it will go to the page that lets you try to 'detect network settings'. is this an internet explorer problem? i already tried reseting it. that didn't work. and also, my pop up blocker continues to block even when i turn it off. i don't know what other program i have that has a pop up blocker on it.

Switch to Firefox and see if you get the same problem, if you do then it would seem your losing you connection. Go to Internet Options and check you security settings they may be too high. If you have an antivirus program running (which is advisable) it may be blocking those pop-ups.

Its probably not explorer its probably your internet connection , it looks like you there because your working "offline"
